How to cut a waterfall jacket: 2 methods and detailed

Waterfall jackets come in various styles and cut, sleeves or no sleeve, pockets, zips, buttons etc

To make a simple waterfall jacket you will need any fabric of your choice, scissors, chalk, threads

Method 1
Cut out a square shape fabric that will fit your body by length and width
Fold it into 4(still giving u a square shape)
Take a chalk and trace a curve from the beginning of one raw edge to the other (don't trace on the part that has its 4 sides folded)
Cut the line you traced and open it up, you should get a circle
Fold it into two, from the top of the circle measure 12-15 inches depending on how full you want the neck or collar to be,  from that mark measure your shoulder (what you get divide by 2 and mark it)
For the armhole , once you have marked the shoulder, the next is the armhole mark it down. Make a circle along the line of the armhole and cut the circle out
Fold around the edges of the jacket for a clean finish.

Method 2
To get the back of the jacket, place an old T shirt and trace out the pattern (fold the T-shirt into two vertically as well as the fabric)
For the front place the back on the fabric, leaving about 10"-15" wide after placing the back of the jacket on the fabric.
Draw a line from the neck of the front piece going downwards to meet the 10"-15" allowance left initially halfway as shown below
For the sleeves place the T-shirt folding the sleeve in (pin) on fabric and trace the line of the armhole (make sleeve as long as you want.
