Career choices in the fashion industry


 
     The fashion industry is very lucrative, and entails a lot of creativity and business knowledge. If you are in the the fashion business or you choose to get into it,then you have made the right decision.
Below is a list of progressions to delve into in the fashion industry.

1. Stylist
  The basic duty of a stylist is to select clothing and accessories for published  editorials, media, prints and television, adverts campaign, music video, concert and public appearances. Your creativity ability to create trends will distinguish you in the business.
2. Tailor
  A tailors duty is to design, make, repair and fit germents. You don't necessarily have to create fashion ideas, all you need is experience in sewing of various style patterns.

3. Fashion writer
  A fashion writers sole responsibility is to write journalism on fashion or articles related to fashion for magazine, media, advertisement, trade publications and also with the popularity of online forums like blogs and so on.
4. Fashion designer
  Fashion designing is the standard everyone wants to be on at the moment, it's a very tasking and demanding job. Creation of fashion ideas and applying then to clothing and accessories, designing high fashion clothing. Being a designer is more than just making clothing ideas it's about building a brand, it's a business.
5. Fashion illustrator
  An illustrator communicates design ideas into visual form that comes as a result of drawing, painting and sketching.
6. Pattern maker
Pattern makers work hand in hand with designers, based on a style design or idea   pattern are made out of them. A pattern maker must communicate with the designer on details of what there want to achieve.
7. Model
  A model is a person of specific and various size and figures employed to display fashionabke wears or accessories by putting them on.
 
8. Fashion merchandising
The responsibility of a merchandiser is to promote the sales of apparels and meet the demand of the customers.
9. Market researcher
  Monitoring the performances of the market. The market researcher is a connection between producers and end users, the information gathered is used to identify and define marketing opportunity and difficulty.
