Starting a YouTube channel (fashion designer) on a budget

You might have always wanted to start a YouTube channel but u can afford those pricey cameras or you don't know how to start or maybe your channel is set but you don't know how to put together your first video, this article is for you my friend. This article is tailored to fashion designers who wish to start their channel, here are the things you need to put in place.

1. A camera
You need something to capture you  while you're make your tutorials, don't have a camera? I'm betting you have a phone. You might  say my camera is not that great and the video Content is very low you can swap you phone for a better phone.
2. Lightening
This is really important to give your videos a professional feel and enhance your image. There are cheap lightening or you can substitute with day light.  Sit in opposite direction to the light so it hits you directly on your face.
3. Microphone
This is not so important for your first few videos if you are just testing to see if youtube is your thing, later on you can invest in a good microphone. Another alternative doing a voice over after making your video you can make a recording and sync it with the video. If you are audible enough you could skip this till you are ready to buy one and there are microphones you can plug directly to your phone.
4. A tripod
This equipment is very useful, to keep your camera or phone still while you do your cutting, sewing and so on. Tripods are a bit expensive but you can improvise, there are selfie sticks that come with tripod stand or get a selfie stick that is attachable to a tripod. You will have to look for what suits you best.
5. Equipment for the tutorial
As a designer you need more than making a video, you need your tools such as your sewing machine, cutting table, measurement tape, chalk,  scissors, pins, maniquin etc for your intro video you could get a back drop it use your plain wall.
6. Editing your videos
After you have decided on a tutorial idea, and you have captured that on camera, you need to edit them so there look good for viewing pleasure. There are free editing apps you can try and get to understand a thing or two about editing, effects, transitions, text, add music or recordings, images, pop up messages for social media handle etc.
Others things to learn about are thumbnails, creating tags and URLs for your description bar.
7.set up your YouTube channel
This is a simple, just set up your google mail account that gives you access to a bunch of google apps including YouTube. Edit your channel info and create a YouTube banner to your liking then upload your videos.
That's it guys very simple steps but requires a lot of planning and preparing. Hope this article is helpful to you, do comment if you wish to add or subtract.
