Kimono jacket - super simple tutorial

Every person needs a kimono jacket, it gives you that boho vibe. Insteadof getting yours at a very expensive price, you could make yours at home and gift it to friends and family.
Let's start our project

What you will need
Two and half yard of fabric (of your choice depending on the weather)
Sewing machine
Scissors
Thread
Cutting space

How to cut
Before you cut your need to establish how wide and long you want your jacket to be. Mine will be width 42" (divided by 4 +1" sewing allowance) length 40 (+2" sewing allowance)
Sleeves 16" long and 10" wide
Fold one section of the material into two, measure out the length and width and cut it out. From the center of the fold measure 3&1/2" wide by 1" long and trace a curve for the neck.
Fold another section of the material for the front, to get the neck measure 3&1/2" wide from the center fold and trace it all the way down to get a v or angular shape.

To sew
Place the back right side facing you, place the two front piece wrong sides facing you( to make sure you are doing the right thing the neck of both front and back should look like a v neck top)
Sew both shoulders stop where the neck begins.
To sew the sides leave 10" for armholes before you start sewing.

Once you are done, sew the sleeves side and attach to the body of the jacket right sides facing (therefore you should be sewing on the wrong side of the fabric.
To finish off the raw edge of the neck cut out an inch long fabric and about two yards wide to pipe the neck(place the right side of the piece of fabric on the wrong side of the jacket and sew it round, the raw edge of the pieces should be sewn on the right side of the jacket. Fold the raw edge in before you see)
And you are done, don't forget to sew the raw edge of the sleeve in as well.
